Treasure #1: The fig tree in my yard is budding up with the tiniest of figs. I hate to admit that I don't really like the taste of figs- but they are incredibly lovely to look at-and to smell. I am a faux fig-lover!
Treasure #2: And I found this great old necklace at the swap meet today. The man assured me it was a real pearl- I nodded and agreed, knowing it was more like an acrylic gob covered in pearl-colored paint! Even better!

hehe it's so funny when people try to convince you that something is in fact real gold, amber, pearl etc. i bought a rabbit "jade" figurine in shanghai once which clearly wasn't jade - being quite heavy and glass like and the woman who sold it to me just kept insisting on it being jade - i didn't really mind it being non-jade as i liked the shape of it : )
